Yoga for Theatres
Yoga for Theatres invite you to a consciousness-expanding stretching exercise for the world as it is.
An exercise in being attentively present, through songs about the flexibility of ideas and the monstrous reality of concepts.
The German SS would recommend yoga to concentration camp staff. And Hans Petter’s great uncle, who painted the picture of little HP picking blueberries at Lambertseter, who loved nature and healthy living, was convinced Hitler’s ideas would make the world a better place.
Four berry pickers lead us into biocentrism through song. The purpose is to befriend Earth again through humility: We are 7.7 billion people sharing the song, but we all sing alone.
Running time: approx. 1 hour.
Performed in English.
Co-production: Needcompany, the National Theatre of Norway, and the BIT Theatre Garage.
Funded by the Arts Council and The ImPulsTanz Residency Programme.
