The winner of the world's biggest theatre award.
A unique performance that demonstrates why Heiner Goebbels won this year’s International Ibsen Award, Eraritjaritjaka shows Goebbels’ pioneering stagecraft. André Wilms explores texts from author Elias Canetti’s diaries and the Mondriaan Quartet respond with Shostakovich, Bach and Bryars, among others. Music, texts, lighting and images flirt with each other in a production that shows that theatre can’t always be confined to a particular category.
Heiner Goebbels will be at Saturday’s performance, and will be awarded the International Ibsen Award.
